In response to Archbishop John J. Myers' call, We came to the Archdiocese of Newark (northern New Jersey) in 2007 to give witness in a neighborhood in great need of the presence of Christ, our hope and our peace, through our religious life.
We have the joy of participating in the Pastoral work of Saint Joseph Parish and of the Archdiocesan School in East Orange.
Two of our sisters are Campus Ministers and strive to bring Christ to the Students of Seton Hall University in cooperation with two Brothers of the Community of St John, as well as with lay missionaries.
Here in East Orange, we also bring the Gospel of Joy and Mercy to the homeless women of the area and to prisoners once a week.
Through our various ministries, we receive beautiful opportunities to meet other religious and to cooperate extensively with the local clergy.
Following in the footsteps of St John, who had a such a great love and respect for Saint Peter, we are eager to pray for the local Seminarians and Priests.
All of us in East Orange are thankful for the beautiful mission the Lord has entrusted to us and for the help and prayers of so many friends and benefactors.
